Blue Ridge Mountains Platter

This platter is made from stoneware clay made in Dallas Texas and the platter is formed in my shop here in Dallas. But the idea behind the glazing comes from home and that’s up East in Virginia just outside of the Blue Ridge Mountain Range. If you have ever driven those highways at dusk you will see the resemblance and it is stunning.

This can go through the dishwasher though I do recommend hand washing if possible, for the longevity of the pot. It can handle the heat of the dishwasher just doesn’t do well with direct heat and bouncing off of like materials will cause chipping. So separate your dishes and turn off heat dry and you will keep them longer.
